A 23-year-old Tu­na­puna man was shot dead while stand­ing out­side his home on Sat­ur­day af­ter­noon. Po­lice said Kendell Be­har­rysingh was stand­ing near his fam­i­ly’s Green Street, Tu­na­puna home, at around 5.45 pm when a white Nis­san AD Wag­on drove up to him. Gun­men shot Be­har­rysingh sev­er­al times be­fore dri­ving off.

Be­har­rysingh tried to run away from his at­tack­ers but col­lapsed near­by. Of­fi­cers of the North Cen­tral Di­vi­sion Task Force were called in and rushed Be­har­rysingh to hos­pi­tal where he was de­clared dead at around 6.18 pm. Of­fi­cers of the Spe­cial Ev­i­dence Re­cov­ery Unit (SERU) vis­it­ed the scene and found sev­er­al spent 9 mm shells. Po­lice from the Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions Re­gion II are con­tin­u­ing en­quiries.
