Two accused of home invasion in court

One man was re­mand­ed in­to cus­tody while an­oth­er was grant­ed $750,000 bail on rob­bery charges stem­ming from a home in­va­sion.

Richard Ram­lal, 28, of Pond Street, La Ro­maine and Kevon Par­son, 25, al­so known as De­von Man­gatal, of Jages­sar Street, La Ro­maine ap­peared vir­tu­al­ly be­fore San Fer­nan­do Se­nior Mag­is­trate In­drani Ce­de­no.

They were charged with three counts of rob­bery with ag­gra­va­tion.

The in­ci­dent on Oc­to­ber 19.

It is al­leged that three men en­tered a home at Seep­aul De­vel­op­ment, La Ro­maine and robbed a man, his wife and son at gun­point.

The man was al­so beat­en. They robbed the fam­i­ly of a Kia Sportage, a Ford Ranger, two cell­phone, cash, jew­ellery and sev­er­al oth­er items.

Po­lice re­cov­ered some of the items in­clud­ing the Kia Sportage.

Par­son was de­nied bail be­cause he pend­ing mat­ters of a sim­i­lar na­ture.

Court rose­cu­tor Cley­on Seedan ob­ject­ed to bail for both men be­cause of the preva­lence and se­ri­ous­ness of the of­fence.

How­ev­er, Ram­lal was grant­ed $75,000 ap­proval bail.

He was or­dered to stay away from the vic­tims and re­port to the po­lice sta­tion three times a week.

The mat­ter was ad­journed to No­vem­ber 18.
