Twen­ty-nine-year-old Ri­car­do Ros­tant and 19-year-old Keis­hon 'Kun­ta' Punter have been charged with mur­der and rob­bery with vi­o­lence. Punter al­so faces ad­di­tion­al charges for pos­ses­sion of a firearm and pos­ses­sion of am­mu­ni­tion. The men were charged by PC Gon­za­les on June 5th fol­low­ing the ad­vice of Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions, Mr. Roger Gas­pard SC. 

Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, Thomas was stand­ing on the cor­ner of Boodoo Cir­cu­lar and East­ern Main Road, San­gre Grande when he was ap­proached by two as­sailants. The men al­leged­ly at­tempt­ed to steal Thomas’ gold chain when a strug­gle en­sued and Thomas was shot. He lat­er suc­cumbed to his in­juries at hos­pi­tal.

 Ros­tant and Punter are ex­pect­ed to ap­pear be­fore the San­gre Grande Mag­is­trate Court to­day, June 6th 2022, to an­swer to the charges. In­ves­ti­ga­tions were su­per­vised by ASP Dou­glas, Le­gal Of­fi­cer In­sp Ram­jag, W/In­sp Sylvester, In­sp John and Sgt Stanis­laus all of HBI Re­gion II.
