Officers of the North-Central Division Task Force and the Arouca CID went with the man to the area, where he identified one of the suspects crossing the Prime Minister’s Park in Five Rivers.
When the suspect saw the marked police car, he ran, but officers chased and arrested him. A search of the man uncovered cash and an ID card belonging to the victim.
While still at the scene, police received information and went to a house on Balentyne Road, Five Rivers, where they arrested another man believed to be the second suspect.
Both men were taken to the Arouca and St Joseph Police Stations for questioning.
