Po­lice are in­ves­ti­gat­ing a shoot­ing at a Hal­loween par­ty in Mal­oney that left two men hos­pi­talised ear­ly Sat­ur­day morn­ing.

Around 2.20 am, an ar­gu­ment broke out be­tween a man and an­oth­er par­ty­go­er on the ground floor of Build­ing 14, Mal­oney Gar­dens. The sus­pect re­port­ed­ly pulled out a firearm and fired sev­er­al shots be­fore run­ning off.

Two men who were near­by were hit. One was shot in the chest and leg and re­mains in crit­i­cal con­di­tion at the Ari­ma Hos­pi­tal, while the oth­er was treat­ed for a gun­shot wound to the thigh and is sta­ble.

Crime Scene In­ves­ti­ga­tors re­cov­ered five spent 9mm shell cas­ings. En­quiries are con­tin­u­ing.
