Two teenagers have been ar­rest­ed for pos­ses­sion of a firearm and am­mu­ni­tion.
Ac­cord­ing to po­lice re­ports, act­ing on in­for­ma­tion, of­fi­cers of the West­ern Di­vi­sion Task Force (WDTF) mount­ed a sur­veil­lance op­er­a­tion dur­ing the hours of 12 noon and 4:00 pm where they ob­served the duo parad­ing with a firearm.

The sus­pects, a 17-year-old male from Oa­sis Gar­den, Blue Basin and an 18-year-old male from Cizan Trace, Blue Basin were sub­se­quent­ly in­ter­cept­ed by WDTF of­fi­cers. Up­on do­ing so, the of­fi­cers seized a Tau­rus pis­tol loaded with 12 rounds of 9mm am­mu­ni­tion.

The sus­pects were im­me­di­ate­ly ar­rest­ed, pend­ing fur­ther in­ves­ti­ga­tions by PC Hollingsworth. The ex­er­cise was spear­head­ed by Snr Supt Thomp­son, su­per­vised by In­sp Grant, Sgt Car­mona and in­clud­ed Cpl Khan, PCs Clement, Hollingsworth, Den­nis and Charles
