Po­lice are try­ing to iden­ti­fy the body of a man found stabbed to death on La­dy Chan­cel­lor Road.

Po­lice say around 4.13 a.m. to­day, an anony­mous caller con­tact­ed the Com­mand Cen­tre, in­form­ing them of a man ly­ing mo­tion­less along La­dy Chan­cel­lor Road in the vicin­i­ty of the Hor­ti­cul­ture Cen­tre.

Of­fi­cers found the body ly­ing on its back with stab wounds to the chest and tor­so.

The man was said to be of African de­scent, dark com­plex­ion, medi­um build, about 5' 9".

Po­lice say he was dressed in a "dark coloured fe­male span­dex top and un­der­wear."
