The woman who died after being struck by a car along the eastbound lane of the Churchill-Roosevelt Highway on Thursday night remained unidentified up to yesterday.
The fatal accident occurred around 11.30 pm on February 8. The driver, who lives at Building Five, Foster Quevedo, East Dry River, Port-of-Spain, told police he had been proceeding east when the victim allegedly ran across the highway.
The victim was pronounced dead at the scene, while the driver was taken to the Eric Williams Medical Sciences Complex, Mt Hope, for treatment.
