The Uni­ver­si­ty of the West In­dies (The UWI) will be host­ing a Vice-Chan­cel­lor's Fo­rum ti­tled “De­mys­ti­fy­ing the Coro­n­avirus (2019-nCoV)”, Thurs­day 30 Jan­u­ary 2020.

The Fo­rum can be viewed via UWItv’s livestream (at www.uwitv.org) from 1 pm lo­cal time. Those watch­ing the broad­cast can send their ques­tions in via the chat fea­ture for the livestream.

The UWI has con­vened a group of ex­perts to ex­am­ine is­sues re­lat­ed to the re­cent Coro­n­avirus out­break orig­i­nat­ing in Chi­na. In a pan­el dis­cus­sion and livestreamed Q & A for­mat, the fo­rum will of­fer in­formed analy­sis and per­spec­tives, seek­ing to clar­i­fy in­for­ma­tion on the virus’ spread, treat­ment and the Caribbean re­gion’s re­sponse.

The Fo­rum’s pro­gramme will in­clude re­marks from Vice-Chan­cel­lor of The UWI, Pro­fes­sor Sir Hi­lary Beck­les and will fea­ture the fol­low­ing health ex­perts:
