A 30-year-old woman was shot while she slept in her bed at her Ros­taona Road, San Pablo, home ear­ly Thurs­day morn­ing.

Around 2.30 am, she heard sev­er­al gun­shots and felt a burn­ing sen­sa­tion in her up­per right leg.

Of­fi­cers from the Va­len­cia Spe­cial Op­er­a­tions Unit took her to hos­pi­tal, where she re­mains ward­ed.

East­ern Di­vi­sion CID and crime scene in­ves­ti­ga­tors found three spent 9 mm shells and sev­er­al bul­let holes on the side of the house.

Va­len­cia po­lice are con­tin­u­ing their en­quiries.
