A 15-year-old Venezue­lan na­tion­al, who re­sides in the South-West­ern Di­vi­sion, has ap­peared in the Chil­dren’s Court, charged with the mur­der of Anil Al­ladin.

A state­ment from the Po­lice Ser­vice re­ports that the teen ap­peared be­fore Mas­ter Ciel­to Jones, on Fri­day 17 March 2023, to an­swer to the charge.

The mat­ter was ad­journed to April 14, 2023.

Re­ports are that Al­ladin, 41, of Par­tap Trace, South Oropouche, was at Pep­per Vil­lage, Fyz­abad, on Sun­day, March 5, when he got in­to an al­ter­ca­tion with a mi­nor.

Dur­ing the in­ci­dent, it is al­leged the teen stabbed the vic­tim in the chest. The vic­tim died at the scene.

A male sus­pect was ar­rest­ed in the Oropouche Po­lice Dis­trict on March 8, 2023, by a team of of­fi­cers from Homi­cide Bu­reau of In­ves­ti­ga­tions (HBI), Re­gion Three.

The mi­nor was charged on Thurs­day, March16, by PC Bho­la, al­so of HBI Re­gion Three, fol­low­ing ad­vice re­ceived from Deputy Di­rec­tor of Pub­lic Pros­e­cu­tions, Joan Hon­ore-Paul, on that same date.

In­ves­ti­ga­tions were su­per­vised by Supt. Dhill­paul and in­clud­ed ASP Per­sad, In­sp. Ho­sein and Sgts. Forbes and Smith, all of HBI Re­gion Three.
