A Venezue­lan woman has been ar­rest­ed for al­leged­ly stab­bing a 65-year-old res­i­dent at Ica­cos Vil­lage in Ce­dros with a bro­ken bot­tle over the week­end.

The 65-year-old vic­tim and the 33-year-old sus­pect both res­i­dent in the vil­lage.

Po­lice said around 2 am on Sat­ur­day the vic­tim and the sus­pect were in­volved in an al­ter­ca­tion which led to the Venezue­lan woman smash­ing a bot­tle and stab­bing him in the left side of his chest.

The vic­tim was tak­en to the Point Fortin Hos­pi­tal where he was ward­ed in a crit­i­cal but sta­ble con­di­tion.

Cpl Ram­roop and PC Ramkissoon con­duct­ed fur­ther en­quiries and ar­rest­ed the Venezue­lan na­tion­al.
