Sev­er­al dense­ly pop­u­lat­ed and high com­mer­cial dis­tricts in West­ern Trinidad will be af­fect­ed by wa­ter-sup­ply dis­rup­tions for the rest of the af­ter­noon, as the Wa­ter and Sewage Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) con­tin­ues re­pair work on a leak­ing pipeline.

WASA said that due to an un­fore­seen de­lay in re­pair­ing a leak­ing trans­mis­sion pipeline, cus­tomers in parts of St James, Long Cir­cu­lar Road, St. James from the West­ern Main Road to Sad­dle Road, Mar­aval in­clu­sive off all side streets such as Belle Vue, Dibe Road, Fran­cis Road, Pe­ri­od Road, Brieves Road and Aboud Cir­cu­lar will be af­fect­ed.

The Au­thor­i­ty says work on the site to re­pair the leak is ex­pect­ed to be com­plet­ed at 8 pm to­day.

The Au­thor­i­ty says they are of­fer­ing lim­it­ed truck borne ser­vices up­on re­quest, and that cus­tomers are to con­tact 800-4420/26.
