The Water and Sewerage Authority is assuring customers in East Trinidad that works are underway to effect repairs to the 42” main in the vicinity of the Santa Rosa Racetrack, Westbound lane, off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, near the bridge crossing.
However, WASA says "there have been some challenges with the terrain which required additional equipment and those resources are presently on site."
The Authority is telling all customers that alternative sources of supply such as Hollis and Caroni have been redirected to some of the affected areas.
It says this, together with its truck-borne service, is currently engaged to bring relief to customers in Maloney, San Raphael/Brazil, Carapo, Mausica Road, Signature Park, Five Rivers, Millennium Park, Sunrise Park and Golden Grove.
WASA says it "will sustain this effort until service is fully restored, and thanks customers for their continued patience and understanding."
