The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) says repair works are underway to the ruptured 42” main in the vicinity of the Santa Rosa Racetrack, westbound lane, off the Churchill Roosevelt Highway, near the bridge crossing.
However, WASA says intermittent rainfall during the day yesterday has increased the complexity of the job at hand.
But the authority says team members are committed to restoring service in the shortest possible time.
WASA says it is managing demand with a valve protocol which allows customers east of the breach, in the Town of Sangre Grande, to receive an overnight supply.
