The Water and Sewerage Authority (WASA) has advised customers in parts of Central Trinidad served by the Freeport Water Treatment Plant, who have been experiencing an interruption in their pipe-borne water supply that this has been due to recent intermittent issues impacting operations at the facility.
WASA said these included emergency repairs at Freeport Well #15 on March 6, as well as a defective valve and broken raw water pipeline that were repaired on March 13.
The Authority said this situation has resulted in delays to the water supply schedule to some areas served by the facility
WASA said the affected areas expected restoration of service are
Preysal 14th to 15th March, Chickland 15th to 16th March and Siewdass Road 16th to 17th March
