The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty says cus­tomers served by the Chatham Wa­ter Treat­ment Plant are cur­rent­ly ex­pe­ri­enc­ing a dis­rup­tion in their wa­ter sup­ply be­cause of a leak­ing 16-inch di­am­e­ter pipeline at the fa­cil­i­ty.

Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from WASA emer­gency re­pairs are cur­rent­ly un­der­way and are sched­uled to be com­plet­ed by 6:00 p.m. to­day. 

Af­fect­ed ar­eas in­clude: Quar­ry Vil­lage, Ran­cho Que­ma­do, Ben­net Vil­lage, San­ta Flo­ra, Pa­lo Seco, St Fran­cis Vil­lage, Erin, Sheila Lam­orell Gar­dens, Dick­ie Trace, Los Ba­jos, Wad­dle Vil­lage, Chatham North, Chatham South, Boodram Trace, Point Co­co, Uni­ty Road, Au­gus­tusville, South­ern Main Road from Cap De Ville Junc­tion to Point Co­co Ext Junc­tion, Cap De Ville.

Tank Cus­tomers are fur­ther ad­vised that it may take up to 24 hours for the sup­ply to be re­stored to some af­fect­ed ar­eas fol­low­ing the com­ple­tion of re­pairs.
