The Water and Sewerage Authority is advising customers in St. James/ Cocorite area who were impacted by the ruptured transmission line that the emergency repair works are completed.
Water supply was restored to customers at 5:00 p.m. and it may take up to 24 hours for the pipeline system to pressurize and for the water supply to normalize in some affected areas.

The Water and Sewerage Authority (the Authority) advises customers in parts of North-West Trinidad, who were impacted by a ruptured 16-inch diameter transmission pipeline, along the Western Main Road, Cocorite, in the vicinity of the Peake’s Service Station that, emergency repair works were completed and the supply restored at 5:00 p.m. today – Thursday 14th April 2022. Customers are further advised that it may take up to 24 hours for the pipeline system to pressurize and for the water supply to normalize in some affected areas.
Works to rehabilitate the roadway are currently in progress and expected to be completed by 8:00 p.m. this evening. Motorists are asked to continue to proceed with caution and to obey the instructions of the Traffic Control Officers on duty, as the final rehabilitation of the site is completed.
The Authority apologises for the inconvenience and thanks customers and motorist for their patience and understanding during the period of disruption.
