Parts of North East Trinidad will have a disruption in their water supply this weekend as WASA carries out planned pipeline interconnection works along Railway Road, Sangre Grande. The exercise is associated with the ongoing road expansion project being undertaken by the Ministry of Works and Infrastructure.
An advisory from the Water and Sewerage Authority explains those customers served by the North Oropouche Water Treatment Plant will have their service interrupted from 9:00 am on Saturday 4th to 9:00 am on Sunday 5th October 2025.
Areas to be affected include: Sangre Grande (Town), Sangre Chiquito, Manzanilla, Coalmine, Guaico/Guaico Tamana, Malabar Phases 1, 3 & 4, Tumpuna Road, San Rafael, Brazil, La Horquetta, Carapo/O’Meara Road, Signature Park/Mausica Road, Maloney Gardens, Five Rivers, Millennium Park, Sunrise Park, Golden Grove Road.
WASA is reminding its customers that once the works are completed, it may take up to 24 hours for water supplies to normalise in some affected areas.
