WASA to complete repairs on San Pedro pipeline on Saturday

The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty says it ex­pects to com­plete Emer­gency re­pair works on a leak­ing 16” di­am­e­ter trans­mis­sion pipeline at LP22, Rail­way Road, San Pe­dro, by Sat­ur­day, No­vem­ber 26.

In an ad­vi­so­ry, the Au­thor­i­ty ex­plains the leak­ing pipeline is the rea­son why parts of South-East Trinidad are ex­pe­ri­enc­ing low wa­ter pres­sures, or in some cas­es, no wa­ter.

WASA hopes to com­plete the re­pairs by 8:00 pm on Sat­ur­day.  It is re­mind­ing cus­tomers that it may take up to 48 hours for the sup­ply to be re­stored to some af­fect­ed ar­eas fol­low­ing the com­ple­tion of re­pairs.

Af­fect­ed ar­eas in­clude:

Rio Claro Tabaquite Road (Rio Claro to Killdeer in­clu­sive of side streets) Charu­ma Short-Cut Trace, Cu­napo South­ern Main Road (Rio Claro to Biche), Navet Vil­lage, Cushe Vil­lage, Charu­ma Vil­lage, Biche, Plum Mi­tan Road (Biche to Hart Road in­clu­sive of side streets), Rio Claro, Mo­ra Heights, El Gua­napo De­vel­op­ment, Clear­wa­ter, Agos­ti­ni, Na­pari­ma Ma­yaro Road (Lib­ertville to Ma­yaro in­clu­sive of side streets), Ec­clesville, Boos Set­tle­ment, Bangladesh, Le­gendre Road, Bris­tol, Mafek­ing, Cedar Grove, Ma­yaro, St. Anns, Plai­sance, Man­zanil­la Ma­yaro Road (Ma­yaro to Pe­ter Hill Trace in­clu­sive of side streets), Pe­ter Hill Road and Ker­na­ham.

WASA says a lim­it­ed truck borne wa­ter sup­ply is avail­able up­on re­quest, via the fol­low­ing self-ser­vice op­tions:

●   Use of the mo­bile WASA Ser­vices App which can be down­loaded for An­droid mo­bile cus­tomers from the Play Store or iPhone mo­bile cus­tomers from the Ap­ple store; or

●   Use of the Cus­tomer Por­tal avail­able on the Au­thor­i­ty’s web­site: www.wasa.gov.tt.
