A watchman who worked the night shift at a business place in Couva was found dead in the security booth this morning.
63-year-old Edwin Simon also known as "Lion" of Claxton Bay was tied up on the floor of the booth at Universal Projects Ltd at Balmain Road.
His body was discovered by an employee who arrived to work around 7.15 am.
Simon's feet were bound and his hands were behind his back. The booth was ransacked and items were broken. Simon had begun his shift around 6 pm yesterday. ASP Ablacksingh, Insp Doodnath, Sgt Howard and officers of Couva Police were at the scene.
Investigations are continuing.
