Water disruption in parts of East Trinidad

WASA cus­tomers along the East-West Cor­ri­dor from Curepe to Tu­na­puna, who are served by the Val­sayn High Lift Sta­tion, can ex­pect to have their pipe-born wa­ter sup­ply re­stored by 8 this evening.

Ac­cord­ing to a re­lease from the Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty, re­pair works on a 12-inch di­am­e­ter pipeline, along Nar­ine Trace in Curepe, were com­plet­ed as planned. How­ev­er, an­oth­er sec­tion of the aged pipeline start­ed leak­ing when the sup­ply was re­stored at Noon on Wednes­day 8th April 2020. As such, the sup­ply was again in­ter­rupt­ed to per­mit re­pair of this lat­est leak.

WASA as­sures that the ad­di­tion­al re­pair works are ex­pect­ed to be com­plet­ed by 8:00pm on Wednes­day 8th April 2020.  How­ev­er, cus­tomers are re­mind­ed that it may take up to 12 hours for the pipe borne wa­ter sup­ply to nor­mal­ize to some af­fect­ed ar­eas fol­low­ing com­ple­tion of re­pairs.

From River­side Road, Curepe, to El Do­ra­do Road, Tu­na­puna, in­clu­sive of the fol­low­ing:

• Gor­don Street

• San­ta Mar­gari­ta

• Mo­hammed Trace

•  Rag­bir Hill

• War­ren Street

• Warn­er Street

• Mc Carthy Street

•  St. John's Road

• St. Au­gus­tine north of the PBR

• Tu­na­puna north of the PBR
