Customers of the Water and Sewerage Authority served by the Valsayn A Booster Station, who currently are experiencing an interruption in their pipe borne water supply, can expect a resumption of service by tomorrow.
In a release, WASA explains that the disruption, which began at 8:00 a.m. today, and should end at midnight, is necessary in order to facilitate emergency repairs to a leaking 30 inch diameter transmission main, along the Eastern Main Road, St. Joseph, in the vicinity of Hutton Road.
Affected areas include:
• Along the Eastern Main Road from St. Joseph to Aranguez Main Road, San Juan including Champs Fleurs, Mt. Hope, Mt. Lambert and Petit Bourg; and
• Lower and Upper Santa Cruz including Homestead Gardens, Pax Vale, Pipiol Road, Sam Boucaud Gardens and environs.
Customer are reminded that it may take up to 12 hours for the scheduled pipe borne water service to normalize to some areas following the completion of repair works.
In addition, motorists are also advised to proceed with caution when approaching the job site and obey the directions of the Police Officer on duty.
