Cus­tomers in Val­ley View, Mara­cas, St. Joseph, are cur­rent­ly ex­pe­ri­enc­ing a dis­rup­tion in their wa­ter sup­ply be­cause of a rup­tured 12-inch di­am­e­ter trans­mis­sion pipeline, dis­cov­ered in the forest­ed cross-coun­try, up­per Mara­cas Val­ley area. 

Ac­cord­ing to a press re­lease from WASA, at present ac­cess to re­pair the rup­tured pipeline is re­strict­ed, due to a dam­aged bridge and land­slip along the route, fol­low­ing re­cent rain­fall. 

The Au­thor­i­ty is cur­rent­ly as­sess­ing var­i­ous op­tions that will al­low ac­cess to the pipeline and will pro­vide a fur­ther up­date at the ear­li­est, on the com­mence­ment of re­pairs and pro­ject­ed com­ple­tion date.
