Cricket fans across the Caribbean can now mark their calendars: the fourth edition of the Massy Women’s Caribbean Premier League (WCPL) is set to take place from September 6 to 17 with all seven matches slated for the Providence Stadium in Guyana.
Returning for their fourth consecutive year, the three powerhouse franchise teams—Barbados Royals, Trinbago Knight Riders, and Guyana Amazon Warriors—will each face off against the others twice in a double round-robin format, culminating in an intense final showdown between the top two teams.
The WCPL, since its inception in 2022, has steadily grown into the premier women’s T20 competition in the West Indies. From a modest single-venue series, the tournament has expanded to multiple locations, stronger sponsorship backing, and a rising quality of play. Notably, the Barbados Royals enter the 2025 tournament as defending champions, having claimed the title in both 2023 and 2024.
