Police are investigating the alleged kidnapping and rape of a woman by a taxi driver and passenger on Monday night.
Police said the woman entered a taxi at the San Juan Taxi Stand at around 10.30 p.m. and sat in the front passenger seat, while a man sat in the back.
She told police she asked the driver to take her to the Croisee.
However, when they reached the John John traffic lights on the outskirts of Port of Spain, the passenger allegedly ordered her to move to the back seat.
The woman said she complied because she feared for her safety.
Police said the driver then made a U-turn and headed back towards Port of Spain, driving through Maraval before stopping at the Maracas Lookout.
The woman alleged that both men raped her before dropping her off at an undisclosed location.
She later went to the Besson Street Police Station, where she made a report.
