The lovely game of cricket has always brought the people of the Caribbean and other regions together. Featured are the game’s living legends Sir Clive Lloyd, Sir Vivian Richards, Lancelot Gibbs, Collis King, Deryck Murray, Sir Andy Roberts, and Alvin Kallicharran. They are joined Dr Kishore Shallow, President of Cricket West Indies. The cricket greats were honoured on June 26 as the 1975 World Cup Champions at the CWI/WIPA Awards held in Barbados. According to Dr Shallow, the night was more than a celebration, it was “a moment of deep regional pride, reflection, and reverence.” The legends who have passed include Roy Fredricks, Keith Boyce, and team manager Clyde Walcott. May their souls Rest in Peace.
