Trinidad and To­ba­go’s Jereem "The Dream" Richards earned a third-place fin­ish in the men's 400 me­tres, clock­ing 44.23 sec­onds at the World Ath­let­ics Ul­ti­mate Cham­pi­onship in Bu­dapest, Hun­gary on Sat­ur­day.

Both teams, the Sports Com­pa­ny of Trinidad and To­ba­go (SPORTT) and the Trinidad and To­ba­go Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (TTFA), have ex­pressed op­ti­mism that the re­quest­ed fund­ing will be made avail­able to the Trinidad and To­ba­go’s se­nior men’s foot­ball team to par­tic­i­pate in the up­com­ing Con­ca­caf Na­tions League (CNL).

All 23 of the play­ers in­vit­ed to join Trinidad and To­ba­go’s se­nior men’s foot­ball team for its up­com­ing Con­ca­caf Na­tions League as­sign­ments have ac­cept­ed head coach Derek King’s re­quest, al­lay­ing fears of a play­er boy­cott over un­paid match fees and bonus­es for over 30 play­ers.
