Ari­ma North Sec­ondary emerged as the big win­ner on Mon­day (March 2) as the Trinidad and To­ba­go Sec­ondary Schools Bas­ket­ball League (TTSS­BL) ac­tion in­ten­si­fied at the Mal­oney In­door Sports Are­na.

​The East Zone saw a heavy sched­ule of high-scor­ing games, head­lined by a dom­i­nant per­for­mance from Ari­ma North in the com­pe­ti­tion host­ed by the T&T Schools Bas­ket­ball As­so­ci­a­tion.

​In the Un­der-17 boys di­vi­sion, Ari­ma North se­cured a com­fort­able 57-43 vic­to­ry over St Joseph’s Col­lege. Af­ter lead­ing 30-20 at the half, Lance Crouch (17 points) and Azar­i­on Fer­gu­son (13 points) kept the pres­sure on to stave off a com­bined 27-point ef­fort from St Joseph’s Nkosi Webb and Ethan De­Coteau.

​Ari­ma North’s U-15 boys dis­man­tled Trin­i­ty East with a 64-19 blowout. The duo of Gabriel Go­den and Lance Crouch proved un­stop­pable, con­tribut­ing 20 points each in the win.

Al­so in the ​U-15 boys di­vi­sion, El Do­ra­do West edged out Hillview Col­lege 37-32, pi­lot­ed by a match-high 21 points from Jalani Jarvis.

In the ​U-13 boys di­vi­sion, Hillview found suc­cess in the youngest brack­et, de­feat­ing San Juan South 31-15 be­hind Djos­er Cari­ah’s 14 points.
