The Trinidad and Tobago National 3x3 basketball team has arrived in San Juan, Puerto Rico on Tuesday, for the fourth edition of the FIBA 3x3 AmeriCup tournament, which runs from December 12-15, 2024.

The aim of the National Basketball Federation of T&T (NBFTT) is to bring home more medals as it builds on the PANAM Games bronze medal success of 2023.

The stage is set, the players are ready for what promises to be an exciting tournament with the best teams from the Americas competing for top honours. T&T is made up of Chike Augustine, Ahkeel “Smally” Boyd, Moriba De Freitas, and Tyrese Fields.

Christopher Jackson Charles is the team’s coach, while Wayne Samuel will serve as both manager and trainer. T&T is drawn alongside Cuba, Jamaica, and St Kitts and Nevis in Group B of the qualifying rounds on Thursday.

The winner of that group will progress to Group C in the Main Draw on Friday to play against Canada and Argentina.

Her thoughtful questions unlocked emotions I didn’t even realise I was holding in. She comforted, reassured, and helped me face the truth of what was coming. That bra wasn’t just clothing—it was the first real symbol of life after surgery.
