Che Benny scored a pair of goals and had a hand in another as defending champion AC Port-of-of-Spain (AC PoS) eased to a 4-1 win over Point Fortin Civic in the second match of T&T Premier Football League (TTPFL) Tier I double-header at the Arima Municipal Stadium, Arima on Sunday.

Following a 6-3 drubbing at the hands of table front runners Defence Force FC, the lone team with a 100 per cent winning record after six matches, AC PoS was eager to get back to winning ways and went ahead in the 26th minute when Benny converted a penalty-kick past goalkeeper Darren Moore, and four minutes before the interval, he curled home a gem of a left footed free-kick to double his tally and his team's lead to 2-0 to go in at the half.

Any hopes of a Point Fortin Civic come-back was dashed in the 76th minute when Nathan Lewis was quick to react to a save from Moore off another Benny free-kick, to stab home his team's third while Haile Beckles added a fourth item in the 86th.

With the seconds ticking away, Point Fortin Civic managed to get a consolation item for their long travels from south Trinidad with Daniel Jones the scorer, but it was too little to late as AC PoS secured the comfortable win, their fourth in six matches to sit third on the 12-team table with 12 points, six behind the Army/Coast-Guard combination while MIC Central FC Reboot is second with 15 points and Caledonia AIA, fourth with ten points, the same as Miscellaneous Police FC, but ahead on goal-difference.

In the opening match at Arima, Terminex La Horquetta Rangers and Prison Service FC battled to a goalless draw.
