Glen Walk­er net­ted a pair of goals as Big Yard in­flict­ed the first de­feat on lead­ers Young Li­ons, 2-0, when match­es in the sec­ond edi­tion of the nine-team Five-A-Side Bas­ket­ball Court Foot­ball League host­ed by Bel­lisi­ma Events con­tin­ued at the L’Anse Mi­tan Recre­ation Ground, Care­nage on Sat­ur­day night.

The win for Walk­er and Big Yard was their third from six match­es to im­prove to nine points in the fourth spot, four be­hind Young Li­ons while Smith Hill FC is sec­ond with 12 fol­lowed by Scrape Up, who edged Dark FC 1-0 thanks to a strike from Runako Har­ris in Sat­ur­day’s open­ing match.

On Fri­day, Point Cumana picked up their first win in sev­en match­es, 4-1 over Sam­ba FC, with Michael John and Ray­gon Seechan both scor­ing two goals each to can­cel out Tyrell Alex­is’ ef­fort.

In Fri­day’s oth­er match, Ka­reem Hut­son scored the lone goal to earn Crazy Mon­key’s a 1-0 win over cel­lar-placed Scor­pi­on FC.

The win­ner of the league will col­lect $5,000 while the run­ner-up will get $3,000 and the third-placed fin­ish­er $1,000. Match­es con­tin­ue to­day, Fri­day and Sat­ur­day from 8 pm.
