Kendis Matthias was the star of the show as the D’ Drinks Spot out­played Uni­ver­sal Flip­pers to cap­ture the $3,000 ti­tle in the Har­vard Sports Club April Fest Wind­ball Crick­et Tour­na­ment at the Har­vard Sports Club, 106 Tra­garete Road, Port-of-Spain, on Sat­ur­day night.

Bat­ting first in the tour­na­ment, which was con­test­ed via ten overs per side, the Uni­ver­sal Flip­pers were put on the de­fen­sive ear­ly and were lim­it­ed to a mea­gre 15 runs all out in 6.2 overs of the al­lot­ted ten overs, with Sashtri Ra­moutar scor­ing three runs and Dwayne James and Ruben Adams two each, while Matthias was the main wick­et tak­er with three for two runs from his one over, with Joshua Mil­lien grab­bing two wick­ets for four runs and Virin­da Boodram one for one run.

D’ Drinks Spot then made light work of their run chase and raced to 17 runs for the loss of one wick­et in 3.2 overs, led by Nashawn Latch­man with eight runs not out and Zephon Richards with five to se­cure the ti­tle.
