Jo­ni­ah Be­har­ry led Diego Mar­tin Cen­tral Sec­ondary School’s shoot­ing to help her team con­tin­ue its un­beat­en run in the 20 and Un­der Di­vi­sion in the Port-of-Spain and En­vi­rons Ed­u­ca­tion Dis­trict (POSEED) com­pe­ti­tion of the T&T Sec­ondary Schools As­so­ci­a­tion’s Net­ball League at the Wood­brook Youth Cen­tre on Mon­day.

The Cen­tral team scored a huge 55-1 win over St Fran­cois Girls thanks to the open­ing goal-at­tack who pro­duced a match-high 26 goals from 37 at­tempts in a one-sided match. Her team held the ad­van­tage at the end of each quar­ter - 11-0 in the first, 24-0 at half­time and 38-1 in the third be­fore seal­ing the 54-goal win.

She opened with Edyn Aching (13/17) as the goal-shoot­er, con­nect­ing 13 off 17 tries in the sec­ond match of a triple-head­er. Na­tion­al youth net­baller Shi­an Lewis al­so en­tered the shoot­ing cir­cle and she net­ted a sec­ond-best 16 goals in 21 at­tempts to en­sured the Cen­tral unit re­mained un­beat­en, fol­low­ing wins against Diego Mar­tin North (46-1) and St James (54-2).

Lily War­ricK scored the lone goal for St Fran­cois Girls from three tries.

Ear­li­er, Diego Mar­tin North did one bet­ter re­strict­ing op­po­nent Suc­cess Laven­tille from scor­ing, post­ing a 28-0 vic­to­ry. Goal-at­tack Alyssa Glenn topped the shoot­ing with 21 in 32 while her goal-shoot­er Waynelle Per­ry poured in sev­en off 12 in the fi­nal match.

In the fi­nal match of the day, East Mu­cu­rapo eased past St James, 19-4. The lead­ing shoot­er was Zion Homer with nine in 19 for the win­ner. Brit­ney Roberts was best for the los­ing side with three off four.
