FC Mal­oney Ea­gles and Mal­abar Young Stars will go in­to their re­spec­tive fi­nal match­es in Sun­day's last round of the ten-team East­ern Foot­ball As­so­ci­a­tion (EFA) Pre­mier Di­vi­sion, both with a chance to se­cure the $25,000 win­ners’ prize af­ter.

As it stands, FC Mal­oney Ea­gles lead the ta­ble with 22 points from nine match­es with a healthy goal-dif­fer­ence of plus-23 while Young Stars sit a point be­hind with a goal-dif­fer­ence of plus-24.

How­ev­er, while Ea­gles will face the easy task of fac­ing cel­lar-placed Ze­bu­lun FC, yet to earn a point this sea­son at Ed­die Hart Ground, Tu­na­puna from 5 pm in the first match of a dou­ble-head­er, Young Stars meets third-placed CG Po­sei­don at the Mal­abar Recre­ation Ground from 6 pm.

A win for Ea­gles will se­cure the ti­tle, while any­thing less than three points will leave the door open for Young Stars to se­cure the crown.

The run­ners-up in the league will re­ceive $15,000, and the third placed fin­ish­ers which will be de­ter­mined be­tween CG Po­sei­don, Creek S.C.C, and Heat­wave, the lat­ter of whom has a match in hand will take home $10,000.

The race for the EFA top scor­ers' ti­tle is al­so up for grabs with Trinci­ty Na­tion­als' Jiron Fran­cis out front with 12 goals from eight match­es, two ahead of Mal­abar Young Stars' Ter­rell Nep­tune while for­mer T&T strik­er Nathan Lewis of Ea­gles has nine, CG Po­sei­don's Lejean Leza­ma eight, and the pair of Ea­gles play­ers' Teryke John­son, and Kervyn Coa, sev­en each.
