E-Z Lines re­main in pole po­si­tion af­ter a thrilling top of the ta­ble clash. Match-day ten of the Na­tion­al Mixed For­mat League of Darts pro­vid­ed more dra­ma and twists as the A di­vi­sion re­mains very tight.

Play­ing at No 36 New Street, Port-of-Spain on Tues­day (Ju­ly 22), Jus For Fun Vikings took on E-Z lines in what was the big match of the evening. The Vikings were in ter­rif­ic form dom­i­nat­ing the de­fend­ing cham­pi­ons 4-0 even­tu­al­ly ex­tend­ing the lead to 5-1 with 4 more legs to go re­quir­ing one more win to clinch what was at the time seemed an in­evitable vic­to­ry.

How­ev­er E-Z Lines showed why they are per­pet­u­al win­ners and dis­played cham­pi­onship win­ning darts to claw their way back from the jaws of de­feat to stun the Vikings and split the points 5-5.

Cap­tain of the Vikings, Michael Ri­vas, said the re­sult felt like a de­feat giv­en their great start to the con­test. Cap­tain of E-Z Lines, Adam Da Cos­ta, was proud of his charges and was al­ways con­fi­dent his team would turn it around de­spite trail­ing so ear­ly. De Orig­i­nal Game Shot (DOGS) are up to sec­ond af­ter a dom­i­nat­ing dis­play against Bul­lz I, win­ning 9-1. The heavy de­feat sees Bul­lz I for the first time in the drop Zone. Pub House Pi­rates are three points clear of dan­ger af­ter hold­ing Drifters to a 5-5 draw af­ter trail­ing in the con­test 3-1. The Pi­rates were able to stun Drifters in the sin­gles round, win­ning 4/5, which helped them turn the ta­bles and hold on for a vi­tal share of the points to see them now in fifth place.

Scor­pi­ons are clear in front at the top of the B di­vi­sion af­ter bat­tling hard with Triple Vi­sion get­ting over the line to win 6-4. Sea Wolves re­main in third af­ter com­ing from be­hind to draw 5-5 with fifth place Shang­hai Bulls. Reck­less Darts Team shocked Jus For Fun Snipers af­ter a bril­liant 6-4 win. Reck­less dom­i­nat­ed from ear­ly on rac­ing to a 5-1 lead, there was a bit of a scare in the sin­gles round as the Snipers put up a good fight but the dam­age was al­ready done and Reck­less were able to climb over the fi­nal hur­dle in the team game to see out an im­pres­sive up­set vic­to­ry.

Flight­ed Friends showed no signs of slow­ing down in the C di­vi­sion af­ter a com­mand­ing 9-1 vic­to­ry over Bull­dogs. Ran­dom Squad and Top Shot bat­tled out to a 5-5 draw re­sult­ing in no change to their ta­ble po­si­tions. Mu­cu­rapo Mus­ke­teers se­cure their first win of the sea­son af­ter de­feat­ing Pel­terzzz 5-4, Nicholai As­sam hit the win­ning bulls­eye to the de­light of his team mates as they en­joyed the sweet taste of vic­to­ry.

The sea­son en­ters its fi­nal round of match­es the B and C di­vi­sions seem to be de­cid­ed but the A di­vi­sion is yet to pro­vide a clear win­ner E-Z Lines still have it all to do as they take on DOGS next in a vi­tal clash for the ti­tle. Just for fun Vikings would be hop­ing to take ad­van­tage of any points dropped by the top two teams when they con­tin­ue their ti­tle charge against Pub House Pi­rates. The ac­tion con­tin­ues with match-day 11 on Tues­day (Ju­ly 22) at the same venue.
