TBC Radio Warriors won the Guardian Cup after they defeated team Black Ops in the annual Guardian Media Limited in-house five-a-side football tournament at GML’s car park at the corner of Queen’s and St Vincent Streets, Port-of-Spain, on Friday. Teams from various departments of GML operations—Elite FC, Knockers, TBC Radio Warriors, and Black Ops—contested a round-robin format. After 14 minutes of play in the final, TBC Radio Warriors and Black Ops ended 1-1. Chislon Banfield (DJ Verse) scored for TBC Radio Warriors, while Gary Vincent netted for Black Ops, forcing the game into penalties. In the penalty shoot-out, Vincent scored for Black Ops, while his team missed their other two attempts. Verne Extavour (DJ Antix and Cristian Houllier (DJ Red Antzz) scored to give TBC Warriors the title.
