E-Z Lines tasted defeat for the first time in two years when the T&T Double in/Double Out League of Darts continued on April 30 at the home of darts Kosmos Members Club in Port-of-Spain.

The league leader of the A division took on newly promoted Jus For Fun in what was an unexpected upset as Jus For Fun won the encounter 6-4.

E-Z Lines were 4-1 up at one stage but due to some brilliant individual displays in the singles round Jus For Fun went on a 6-leg winning run to secure a great and famous comeback. Michael Rivas and James Walklin both bagged 180s for Just For Fun and E-Z Lines, respectively.

Drifters and Pub House played out to a 5-5 result. It was tightly contested throughout the encounter with the Pirates being able to hold on and salvage a draw. In B division action, league leader Scorpions are pulling away slowly and look good for first place and promotion after defeating Bullz I6-4. Second place is still tightly contested as Shanghai Bulls were defeated by Bulldogs 6-4.

Despite the defeat the Bulls remain second tied with Bullz I meanwhile Bulldogs are one point behind in third spot. Goutam Heeraram of Bulldogs scored the highest finish of the evening 105 (triple 19, 8, double 20).

Sea Wolves and Central Bank Shooters drew 5-5. Random Squad remain winless after a 5-5 result with Top Shot. Three more official match days remain for the A division and two remain for the B division.

Training continues for the national team as they prepare for the defence of the Caribbean Cup of Darts to be held in Jamaica from July 19-28. The new format of the league has been very helpful in preparing the players to be more clinical at taking out doubles.

Action continues on Tuesday.
