Top-seed­ed Nabeel Mo­hammed booked a spot in the Men's A Di­vi­sion in the Metro Ho­tel Chetwynd End of Year Open Sin­gles Ten­nis Tour­na­ment with a hard fought win over Ask­ia Richards in their semi­fi­nal match, Sun­day.

Play­ing at Up­per St Vin­cent Street in Tu­na­puna, two-time na­tion­al cham­pi­on and Chetwynd Men's Dou­bles win­ner, Mo­hammed, over­came Richards 6-0, 4-6, 10-8 and will face the win­ner of next Sat­ur­day's oth­er semi­fi­nal be­tween Seve Day and Kristyan Valen­tine in the ti­tle-match af­ter the for­mer oust­ed Ke­shan Moonasar in their quar­ter­fi­nal match-up, 7-6 (7-2), 6-1.

In the Men's B Di­vi­sion, Cliff Meade brushed aside Steven An­der­son 6-2, 6-4 in their last-eight clash and was then award­ed a walkover semi­fi­nal vic­to­ry against Ni­rav Dougdeen.

In the fi­nal, Meade will meet the win­ner of the match be­tween top-ranked Jay­den Mitchell, and the win­ner of the re­main­ing quar­ter­fi­nal be­tween for­mer T&T and West In­dies open­er Su­ruj Ragg­onath and Adisa Ide­mu­dia which will be played to­mor­row.

The top ranked Win­ston John is al­so through to the Over-45 fi­nal af­ter he won his semi­fi­na against Kier­an Gomes 6-2, 6-2 with Mukesh Ram­s­ingh and Robert Cae­sar to meet in the oth­er semi­fi­nal.

And in the Over-60 cat­e­go­ry, Rafeek Mo­hammed boot­ed Frank Ra­mu­dit 6-2, 6-2 in their semi­fi­nal for a spot in the fi­nal against Gary Siew­dass, who oust­ed num­ber one play­er, John in Sat­ur­day's late match.
