Mr Solo Too's team of driver, Hayden Charles, Darin Marshall (throttle man) and Joseph Charles, rode all alone to wins in three out of the four races when the T&T Powerboat Association held its third regatta at Casters Cove in Chaguaramas on April 27.

As the lone competitor in the 130 miles per hour (mph) A Class category, the three-man crew claimed the 100 points at stake for winning the two sprint races. Riding all alone, Mr Solo Too later sprinted past the finish line for the 200 points available in the first of two circuit races. They did not compete in the second circuit race.

The day's events saw a low turnout by most of the 70 mph class and upwards.

Apart from Mr Solo Too, Iron Man was a no-show in the 120 mph class, while in the 80 mph class, where Mobile Outlaw, Blue Ice and Heatwave paraded, no boat showed up for action. However, Extreme Measures, the lone entrant of the 70 mph class, skipped the first sprint race before sealing the wins in the other events, having to ride all by himself.

Meanwhile, in the 60 mph category, Kraken claimed the 100 points for the win in the sprint, but he struggled in the circuit races, twice being disqualified on the day.

He later returned to the seas to dispose of his counterparts in the second sprint event that earned him 100 points. Timeless took second place despite earning just the second-place finish in the second sprint, having been disqualified in all the other events in the 60 mph class.

In the 50 mph class, Thanos powered to the wins in all the events, two sprints and as many circuits, for a total points accumulation of 600 points. Light Speed, another boat in the 50 mph class, took the runner-up spot with second-place finishes in the sprints that earned him 75 points each as well as 150 points for finishing second in one of the two circuit races.

In the Special Class, Pandemic claimed the wins for the two sprint races and was second in one of the two circuit races.
