The T&T Cricket Board (TTCB) will host two trial matches to select the national under-15 cricket team to compete in the West Indies U-15 tournament in Jamaica at the end of the month.
The selectors met on Wednesday to finalise the teams for the trial matches after the end of the Shell Interzone U-15 cricket series. The players will have to assemble at the National Cricket Centre tomorrow from 8am to prepare to play two 50-over matches.
Cricket operations manager at the TTCB, Dudnath Ramkessoon told Guardian Media that the selectors will choose the team at the end of the second match on Sunday and the names will be submitted to CWI on Monday.
The trial teams will be led by South East captain Kaleem Mohammed and Central Zone skipper Rajeev Ramnath. Central ran away winners of the Shell Interzone winning their three preliminary round matches and finishing with six points to wrest the title from South Zone.
Both trial teams are packed with talented players who will be looking to impress the selectors and will be hoping that the weather holds this weekend.
