The T&T Crick­et Board (TTCB) will host two tri­al match­es to se­lect the na­tion­al un­der-15 crick­et team to com­pete in the West In­dies U-15 tour­na­ment in Ja­maica at the end of the month.

The se­lec­tors met on Wednes­day to fi­nalise the teams for the tri­al match­es af­ter the end of the Shell In­ter­zone U-15 crick­et se­ries. The play­ers will have to as­sem­ble at the Na­tion­al Crick­et Cen­tre to­mor­row from 8am to pre­pare to play two 50-over match­es.

Crick­et op­er­a­tions man­ag­er at the TTCB, Dud­nath Ramkessoon told Guardian Me­dia that the se­lec­tors will choose the team at the end of the sec­ond match on Sun­day and the names will be sub­mit­ted to CWI on Mon­day.

The tri­al teams will be led by South East cap­tain Kaleem Mo­hammed and Cen­tral Zone skip­per Ra­jeev Ram­nath. Cen­tral ran away win­ners of the Shell In­ter­zone win­ning their three pre­lim­i­nary round match­es and fin­ish­ing with six points to wrest the ti­tle from South Zone.

Both tri­al teams are packed with tal­ent­ed play­ers who will be look­ing to im­press the se­lec­tors and will be hop­ing that the weath­er holds this week­end.
