"Play­er of the Match" Kamil Pooran led No Man’s Land Ex­plor­ers to a dou­ble vic­to­ry - in the elim­i­na­tor and the fi­nal - to claim the tro­phy in the first Dream 11 Bago T10 Blast com­pe­ti­tion Sun­day at the Shaw Park recre­ation­al ground in Scar­bor­ough, To­ba­go.

In the ti­tle match, the Ex­plor­ers met the await­ing Pi­rate Bay Raiders and de­feat­ed them by nine wick­ets. Raiders en­tered the match as the top team with eight wins and two loss­es in their 10 match­es.

Ex­plor­ers won the toss and opt­ed to bowl. In the first in­nings, af­ter Crys­t­ian Thur­ton’s dis­missal, Red Force bats­man Evin Lewis scored 25 off 15 de­liv­er­ies, hit­ting on­ly two bound­aries. To end it off, Mar­lon Richards scored 25 from 11, hit­ting two fours and two six­es, which led the Raiders to a score of 108 for five in 10 overs. Queen's Park Crick­et Club's play­er Mikkel Govia picked up two wick­ets for 14 runs.

In re­ply, star bats­man Pooran and Jyd Goolie shared a 27-run part­ner­ship, scor­ing 39 and 16, re­spec­tive­ly. Af­ter the dis­missal of Goolie, De­journ Charles stepped in and scored 42 not out, hit­ting sev­en bound­aries around the field. Pooran re­mained not out for 39. The Ex­plor­ers emerged vic­to­ri­ous in the eight overs to take home the Bago’s T10 Blast ti­tle.

Ear­li­er in the day, Ex­plor­ers bat­tled against the Store Bay Snorkel­ers for a spot in the fi­nal and they won by nine wick­ets.

Ex­plor­ers won the toss yet again and elect­ed to bowl first. The Snorkel­ers had a 79-run open­ing part­ner­ship from Daniel Williams and Dil­lon Dou­glas, who scored 21 and 56, re­spec­tive­ly. De­spite cap­tain Ter­rance Hinds’ ear­ly dis­missal, Jesse Bootan helped along the way with his 20 runs from 12 de­liv­er­ies, and the Snorkel­ers closed on 115 for five in ten overs. Govia end­ed with fig­ures of two for 21.

In re­sponse, with Jyd Goolie's dis­missal for one run, Pooran and cap­tain Tion Web­ster held down the fort, as the dou­ble half-cen­turies led them to their first vic­to­ry of the day. Pooran scored 52 from 26 de­liv­er­ies, smash­ing two fours and five six­es, while Web­ster scored 53 from 27, hit­ting four fours and four six­es. Ex­plor­ers scored 119 for one in 9.1 overs, to win by nine wick­ets and go to the fi­nals.

Cen­tral Sports star play­er, Pooran, won the "Most Valu­able Play­er" award for both match­es yes­ter­day. He was al­so award­ed for most fours scored through­out the tour­na­ment.
