Pro Sport will host its in­au­gur­al Christ­mas Hock­ey Camp from De­cem­ber 18-22 at the St James Po­lice Bar­racks hock­ey fa­cil­i­ty with cur­rent T&T men's and women's na­tion­al team coach­es Dar­ren Cowie and Akim Tou­s­saint mak­ing up half of the coach­ing staff.

Na­tion­al play­ers Aman­da George and Caleb Guis­sep­pi will round out the quar­tet of staff as they cater for play­ers of all lev­els dur­ing the five days of the camp from 9 am to 2 pm dai­ly where the fo­cus will range from the fun­da­men­tals of the game, all the way up to ad­vanced tech­ni­cal skills.

The camp will con­sist of two seg­ments, the De­vel­op­ment Camp for chil­dren be­tween the ages of six to 16 while the oth­er, the Per­for­mance Camp will be geared to­wards chil­dren 14 to 21 years as they fo­cus on pro­vid­ing in­sight in­to ad­vanced train­ing, which will in­clude fit­ness test­ing, tac­ti­cal and tech­ni­cal skill build­ing, and sit­u­a­tion­al aware­ness.

This prepa­ra­tion is in an­tic­i­pa­tion of the Ju­nior (Un­der-21) Pan Am Cham­pi­onships set to take place in Cana­da in June.
