T&T Red Force team which is lead­ing the stand­ing in Group A of the Re­gion­al Su­per50 Tour­na­ment will take on the Windies B in the fourth round when com­pe­ti­tion con­tin­ues to­day, Thurs­day at the Queen’s Park Oval, Port-of-Spain, look­ing to widen the team's points ad­van­tage over the oth­ers.

Red Force de­spite its chal­lenges with the bat in the se­ries so far, has ba­si­cal­ly rid­den on its bowler's prowess to win the three match­es it con­test­ed to date.

The on­ly bats­men that have shown fight thus far are Nicholas Pooran who has notched three half-cen­turies to date and Kyle Hope who al­so shown good form with a match-sav­ing half-cen­tu­ry (50) against Cana­da.

The Red Force which is the strongest team on pa­per is yet to set the place afire as the team's high­ly tout­ed bat­ting line up has failed to click. How­ev­er, to­day, the tech­ni­cal staff will be hop­ing that the top or­der can find some form against a good Windies B team at­tack that has in the likes as the tal­ent­ed pac­ers in Alzari Joseph and Rons­ford Beat­on.

Mean­while, Pooran has saved the day on three oc­ca­sions for the lo­cals with scores of 88, 75, and 66. He will be look­ing to con­tin­ue his good form against the Windies B who is fourth in the stand­ings on six points - sev­en be­hind the Red Force.

Ex­pect­ed to be ful­ly fit for the en­counter are bats­men Dar­ren Bra­vo and Ja­son Mo­hammed. The coach­ing team led by for­mer na­tion­al all-rounder Kelvin Williams will be hop­ing these bats­men get enough crick­et un­der their belts be­fore the busi­ness end of the tour­na­ment. Af­ter the pre­lim­i­nary rounds, the top two teams from Group A will trav­el to Bar­ba­dos to play the top two teams from Group B in the se­mi-fi­nals.

In the oth­er match on to­day's pro­gramme, Guyana plays the Wind­wards in a keen tus­sle at the Bri­an Lara Crick­et Acad­e­my in Tarou­ba. Guyana is sec­ond in the stand­ings with 10 point, fol­lowed by the Wind­wards on sev­en.

Both match­es get un­der­way at 2 pm.
