St Mary’s Col­lege will put its 2024 un­beat­en record on the line when they host reign­ing cham­pi­ons Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege San Fer­nan­do in round three of the Sec­ondary Schools Crick­et League Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion I match at St Mary’s Ground, Ser­pen­tine Road, Port-of-Spain on Tues­day at 10 am.

Hav­ing beat­en new­ly pro­mot­ed teams El Do­ra­do East Sec­ondary and Princes Town West Sec­ondary in the first two rounds, the Port-of-Spain based Col­lege com­plet­ed a hat-trick of wins af­ter turn­ing back a con­fi­dent Hillview Col­lege out­fit that was com­ing off a com­fort­able win against ‘El Do’.

The reign­ing cham­pi­on team will prove to be St Mary’s tough­est chal­lenge to date.

The pre­sen­ta­tion’s on­ly blem­ish came in round two when fast bowler Aid­i­an Racha missed the match against Vish­nu Boys’ Col­lege due to his par­tic­i­pa­tion for Mer­ry­boys in a prac­tice match against the Red Force se­nior team that is prepar­ing for the re­gion­al four-day cham­pi­onships.

Pre­sen­ta­tion got back on win­ning ways in round three with a com­pre­hen­sive win against Fa­ti­ma Col­lege af­ter the team wel­comed the re­turn of Racha and Chris­t­ian Ram­per­sad who was in­jured.

Mean­while, Pre­sen­ta­tion Col­lege Ch­agua­nas will al­so put its un­beat­en record on the line.

Last sea­son’s run­ners-up won against Hillview, Fa­ti­ma, and St Bene­dict’s Col­leges, and will aim to record vic­to­ry num­ber four when they en­ter­tain Na­pari­ma Col­lege.

Fresh from scor­ing an un­beat­en 89 for the Pre­mier League Un­der 19 against Pris­ons in the Trinidad and To­ba­go Pre­mier­ship Di­vi­sion League Two on the week­end, for­mer Na­pari­ma Col­lege cap­tain, Fa­reez Ali will be hop­ing to get a win over his for­mer team.

The in-form Jay­don Joseph who scored back-to-back hun­dreds in the first two match­es of the sea­son, took his foot off the gas in the third, but Ali con­tin­ued from there with a knock of 133 against St Bene­dict’s last week.
