T&T special Olympics Team touches down

TOUCH DOWN! 

T&T's Special Olympics team of 31 athletes, 11 coaches and two officials has arrived in the host town of Sharjar, Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates ahead of the Special Olympics World Games. 
The opening ceremony is on Thursday at the Zayed Sports City Stadium with the games featuring 7,000 athletes, 3,000 coaches from 190 countries competing in 24 sporting disciplines with an expected 500,000 spectators as part of the biggest sports and humanitarian event in the world in 2019. Athletics coach Lyndell Hoyte-Sanchez, second from right in the front row, will manage six charges. 
Stefan Singh, right in the front row, who is an open water silver medalist at these games, will once again compete in swimming. 
SOTT will depart to the Athletes’ Villages in Dubai and Abu Dhabi on Tuesday.
