T&T se­nior men’s foot­ball team coach Derek King and his team will know their 2026/2027 Con­ca­caf Na­tions League group op­po­nents Thurs­day (Ju­ly 23), when the draw for League A, B, and C of the com­pe­ti­tion is made.

The Live cov­er­age of the draw will be avail­able through Con­ca­caf’s YouTube chan­nel, with the made-for-TV event tak­ing place from 7 pm.

The com­pe­ti­tion, now in its fourth edi­tion, will once again in­clude the men’s se­nior na­tion­al teams of all 41 Con­ca­caf mem­ber as­so­ci­a­tions and serve as the qual­i­fi­ca­tion path­way to the 2027 Con­ca­caf Gold Cup.

The teams par­tic­i­pat­ing in each league’s group stage will be al­lo­cat­ed in a pot based on the Con­ca­caf rank­ings as of Ju­ly 20, 2026, while the dis­tri­b­u­tion of teams across Leagues A, B, and C has been de­ter­mined based on the 2024/25 Con­ca­caf Na­tions League group stage re­sults and is as fol­lows:

In League A, the 16 teams in al­pha­bet­i­cal or­der are Cana­da, Cos­ta Ri­ca, Cu­raçao (pro­mot­ed), Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic (pro­mot­ed), El Sal­vador (pro­mot­ed), Guatemala, Haiti (pro­mot­ed), Hon­duras, Ja­maica, Mar­tinique, Mex­i­co, Nicaragua, Pana­ma, Suri­name, T&T, and USA.

For the League A draw, the Con­fed­er­a­tion’s four high­est-ranked teams – Mex­i­co (No 1), USA (No 2), Cana­da (No 3), and Pana­ma (No 4) – have au­to­mat­i­cal­ly qual­i­fied for the quar­ter­fi­nals, with the re­main­ing 12 par­tic­i­pat­ing teams di­vid­ed in­to six pots based on their con­fed­er­a­tion rank­ings as of Ju­ly 20, to be drawn in­to two groups of six.

The pots are as fol­lows: Pot 1: Cos­ta Ri­ca, Hon­duras; Pot 2: Ja­maica, Haitiç; Pot 3: Guatemala, Trinidad & To­ba­go; Pot 4: Cu­raçao, Suri­name; Pot 5: Mar­tinique, Nicaragua; and Pot 6: El Sal­vador, Do­mini­can Re­pub­lic.

The 12 teams will com­pete in a Swiss-style group stage for­mat, split in­to two groups of six teams each, with every team play­ing four match­es, two at home and two away.

Fol­low­ing group stage play in the Sep­tem­ber-Oc­to­ber FI­FA match win­dow, the top two fin­ish­ers from each group will ad­vance to the quar­ter­fi­nals, join­ing the four high­est-ranked League A teams, who re­ceive di­rect en­try, in Mex­i­co, the USA, Cana­da, and Pana­ma.

The quar­ter­fi­nals will be played in a home-and-away se­ries in No­vem­ber 2026, with ag­gre­gate win­ners ad­vanc­ing to the Con­ca­caf Na­tions League Fi­nals, to be played at Los An­ge­les’ SoFi Sta­di­um. The teams fin­ish­ing fifth and sixth in their League A groups will be rel­e­gat­ed to League B.

League B will com­prise Bar­ba­dos (pro­mot­ed), Be­lize (pro­mot­ed), Bermu­da, Bonaire, Cay­man Is­lands (pro­mot­ed), Cu­ba (rel­e­gat­ed), Do­mini­ca, French Guiana (rel­e­gat­ed), Guade­loupe (rel­e­gat­ed), Grena­da, Guyana (rel­e­gat­ed), Puer­to Ri­co, St Kitts & Nevis (pro­mot­ed), St Lu­cia, St Vin­cent & the Grenadines, and Sint Maarten with the 16 teams be­ing di­vid­ed in­to four groups of four, with each team play­ing home-and-away match­es against every op­po­nent in its group, for a to­tal of six match­es per team.

Fol­low­ing group stage play, the four group win­ners will ad­vance to the league’s cham­pi­onship, where they will com­pete for the ti­tle of League B cham­pi­ons.

Group Stage match­es will be played at cen­tralised venues, a for­mat change in­tro­duced in the last edi­tion to re­duce trav­el de­mands and sup­port mem­ber as­so­ci­a­tions in de­liv­er­ing the high­est pos­si­ble stan­dards of com­pe­ti­tion.

The match­es in Sep­tem­ber and Oc­to­ber will be host­ed by the third- and sec­ond-high­est-ranked teams in each group, re­spec­tive­ly, with the No­vem­ber match­es host­ed by the high­est-ranked teams.

At the end of the League B com­pe­ti­tion, the group win­ners will be pro­mot­ed to League A, while fourth-place fin­ish­ers will be rel­e­gat­ed to League C.

And in League C, the nine teams which will be di­vid­ed in­to three groups of three for match­es to be played be­tween the Sep­tem­ber-Oc­to­ber FI­FA match win­dow, with each team play­ing every team in its group twice are An­guil­la, An­tigua & Bar­bu­da (rel­e­gat­ed), Aru­ba (rel­e­gat­ed), Ba­hamas, British Vir­gin Is­lands, Montser­rat (rel­e­gat­ed), Saint Mar­tin (rel­e­gat­ed), Turks & Caicos Is­lands, and the US Vir­gin Is­lands.

The match­es in League C will al­so take place at cen­tralised venues, with the high­est-ranked team in each group host­ing them.

Fol­low­ing group stage play, the three group win­ners and the best sec­ond-place fin­ish­er will ad­vance to the league’s cham­pi­onship, where they will com­pete for the ti­tle of League C cham­pi­ons. The League C group win­ners and the best sec­ond-place fin­ish­er will be pro­mot­ed to League B.

The com­pe­ti­tion will cul­mi­nate in March 2027 with the Con­ca­caf Na­tions League Fi­nals for League A and, for the first time, cen­tralised cham­pi­onships for Leagues B and C.
