BAS­SETERRE – For the sec­ond time in the space of four days, T&T Women’s spin­ners com­plete­ly dom­i­nat­ed Bar­ba­dos Women, to reg­is­ter a con­vinc­ing sev­en wick­et win and lift the CG Unit­ed Women’s Su­per50 Cup at Warn­er Park in St Kitts on Fri­day.

The spin­ning quar­tet of Anisa Mo­hammed, Am­ri­ta Ram­ta­hal, Kar­ish­ma Ramharack and Sama­ra Ram­nath, bun­dled out Bar­ba­dos Women for a pal­try 71 in 21 overs, be­fore T&T romped to 75 for three in 23.3 overs to com­plete the lop­sided vic­to­ry.

The re­sult should not have been that sur­pris­ing, as it was al­most a car­bon copy per­for­mance of their pre­lim­i­nary matchup on Mon­day where T&T dis­missed Bar­ba­dos for 76 on their way to a five-wick­et win.

De­spite los­ing the ear­ly wick­et of Ky­cia Knight for a duck, there was noth­ing to in­di­cate that Bar­ba­dos Women would col­lapse so dras­ti­cal­ly when Asabi Cal­len­der and Tr­is­han Hold­er were at the crease re­build­ing the in­nings.

The pair car­ried the score to 38 for one be­fore Anisa Mo­hammed struck to dis­miss Hold­er for 15, one of on­ly two bat­ters to get in­to dou­ble dig­its.

And even when skip­per Kar­ish­ma Ramharack got rid of the dan­ger­ous Kyshona Knight for one, the match was still in the bal­ance as Cal­len­der and Nai­jan­ni Cum­ber­batch car­ried the score to 60 for three.

But in a dra­mat­ic turn of events, Bar­ba­dos Women lost their last sev­en wick­ets for the ad­di­tion of a mere 11 runs as their bat­ters failed to come to grips with T&T’s spin­ners.

Cum­ber­batch was caught and bowled by Ram­nath for sev­en, cap­tain Aaliyah Al­leyne was need­less­ly run out for a duck and Ram­ta­hal trapped Cal­len­der lbw for the top score of 28 to leave Bar­ba­dos Women 61 for six.

Ram­nath then dis­missed Shamil­ia Con­nell for one, Ram­ta­hal ac­count­ed for the wick­et of Keila El­liott for a duck and Mo­hammed wrapped up the in­nings by claim­ing the wick­ets of Shani­ka Bruce and Al­li­son Gor­don.

Mo­hammed fin­ished with the fig­ures of 3-17, Ram­ta­hal took 2-5, Kar­ish­ma Ramharack 2-12 and Sama­ra Ram­nath 2-20.

T&T Women then strolled to their tar­get with lit­tle alarm.

They lost open­er Shunelle Sawh for nine with the score on 21, but Djen­a­ba Joseph and Brit­ney Coop­er stead­ied the in­nings in a 41-run part­ner­ship.

By the time Coop­er (17) and Joseph (28) lost their wick­ets, T&T Women were well on their way to vic­to­ry, with Lee-Ann Kir­by end­ing the match in fine style by hit­ting El­liot for a six.
