KINGSTON, Ja­maica – The West In­dies Play­ers’ As­so­ci­a­tion (WIPA) ex­press­es con­do­lences at the pass­ing of Bernard Julien.

Bernard De­nis Julien, born in 1950 in Care­nage, Trinidad, played for the West In­dies be­tween 1973 and 1983 and was part of the win­ning 1975 World Cup team.

Bernard Julien was one of the play­ers who re­ceived a life ban for tour­ing South Africa in 1982-83. Julien died on Sat­ur­day, Oc­to­ber 4, 2025, at the age of 75.

WIPA Pres­i­dent and CEO, Wavell Hinds, re­marked, “WIPA ex­press­es sin­cere con­do­lences to the friends and fam­i­ly of for­mer West In­dies crick­eter Bernard Julien.
