The Wa­ter and Sew­er­age Au­thor­i­ty (WASA) has con­firmed that just over a quar­ter of cus­tomers in Trinidad and To­ba­go cur­rent­ly re­ceive un­in­ter­rupt­ed pipe-borne wa­ter, as it sought to clar­i­fy re­cent pub­lic de­bate over the state of wa­ter de­liv­ery across the coun­try.

Fi­nance Min­is­ter Dav­en­dranath Tan­coo and Plan­ning Min­is­ter Kennedy Swarats­ingh both have re­ceived cross-ap­point­ments as ju­nior min­is­ters in each oth­er’s min­istries, in what the Gov­ern­ment says is an ef­fort to strength­en eco­nom­ic co­or­di­na­tion.
